BIG RIGS – TRACTORS – 4×4 TRUCKS
AT MERCER RACEWAY PARK
Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania will play host to the USA-EAST Championship Tractor and Truck Pull Season on Saturday, May 26th at 6:30pm For each season in the past nineteen years the tradition of bringing the ‘Best of the Best’ in the Pulling sport to Mercer Raceway at the start the championship quest has been maintained. Fans have come to know that when it is time for tractor and truck pulling to start the season the place to be is Mercer Raceway Park.
Fans should note that for the first time in seven years this pull will be held on SATURDAY EVENING – the Saturday of Memorial Day Week-end.
In the past years fans have come to Mercer to see some of their old favorites and also some of the brand new tractors and trucks that are coming on the circuit for the first time. This year will be no different as the top tractors and the top semi-trucks from all parts of the United States will converge on Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday, May 26th – the Saturday of Memorial Day week-end. The USA-EAST Limited Pro Stock tractors will be one of the highlights of the event as the best turbo-charged diesels in the land will vie for the handsome early season prize money. The USA-EAST Super Farm Tractors will join into the combo class at Mercer set to produce an awesome field of tractors.
The Big Rigs Semi Trucks, featuring all of the best modified rigs in the country will take to the track at Mercer. This is the only time that area fans can see all of these huge smoke-belching machines on the same track at the same time early in the season. Because the Mercer Raceway event precedes any other Big Rigs event, it is imperative that any truck planning to ‘run for the points’ be on hand and ready to go for the Mercer pull.
The modified four-wheel drive trucks are also coming to the Spring Nationals as the very popular ‘Run What Ya Brung’ class is slated for the pull. This very incredible class now permits super charged engines and some owners may opt to put a special nitrous oxide system on their huge cubic inch motors. Two-Wheel Drive trucks will be a common participant in the class in 2018 with blower motors accepted. And the modified diesel 4×4 trucks will be allowed to run a triple turbo-charger set up with USA-EAST.
The pulling community is eager to start the season and Mercer Raceway Park rolls out the red carpet for the awesome machines that come from far and wide to be a part of the event. Fans plan for this pull each year and annually pack the grandstand for the USA-EAST Season opener. And of course the infield is also opened for the pull – the only time all season where fans can actually sit in the grassy center at the raceway.
The pull at Mercer will also have a local type class when the 8500lb. Work Stock Diesel (2.5) 4×4 Trucks come together for their first Pennsylvania run in the new season. These trucks look like street legal trucks but if past performance is any indicator – they are far from street trucks. Local area trucks are welcome to participate but must pass a tech inspection prior to entering the pull.
The All American Spring Nationals are produced by Full Pull Productions of Jamestown, Pennsylvania the largest private promoter of sanctioned pulling events in the United States. The pull is sanctioned for points in its entirety by the USA-EAST Sled Pulling Association. In case of inclement weather, the entire pull will be run on Sunday (May 27) at 5:00pm.
