2018 USA-EAST TRUCK CLASSES RULE UPDATES

2018 MODIFIED R.W.Y.B TRUCKS

  • 4×4 – Super Stock Diesel: 7500 pounds and 25” hitch height
  • 4×4 – Super Charged gas or alcohol (575 ci max) weigh 7300 pounds and 26” hitch height
  • 4×4 – Any Single Turbo Diesel on D.O.T. tires will weigh 7800 Lbs.
  • TWD – Single Turbocharged Diesel or Gasoline engines are permitted 7400 lbs. 30” hitch height
  • TWD – Super Charged with Max. Wheelbase of 130” (Max. 510 cu.in w/8-71 Blower) 7800lbs. with 31” hitch
  • “T” Buckets, Open Cab Trucks permitted with prior USA-East Tech Approval

2018 3.6 SMOOTH BORE DIESEL TRUCK CLASS UPDATES

  • This is the 2.6 Super Street Diesel Truck Class updated rules – now Smooth Bore 3.6”
  • DRIVELINE: After-market transmissions and transfer cases are permitted. Axle shields are required and will be .060” thickness in steel or aluminum. Shield shall not be mounted to axle ends or hub bolts. An access hole may be left open to allow locking in the hubs.
  • TURBO: The vehicle is limited to a single turbocharger; the inducer bore on the compressor housing is limited to a maximum of a 3.6”, turbo charger must be smooth faced intake housing, limited to a 3.6” inlet, (no map ring) with all air entering through the 3.6” intake opening. Intake wheel must protrude 1/8th inch inside of opening. The inlet will be measured using a 3.65”-inch plug or internal calipers. Measurement point will be at the actual turbo housing inlet. 6.4 liter Powerstroke engines may utilize the factory twin-turbo configuration.**A “2017 FPP Legal 2.6.” turbo will be permitted in 2018 with an OEM Drive line or aftermarket rear end – Trucks will weigh 8000 Lbs. The 2.6” bore must be within 2” of the compressor wheel tips. A stock map width enhancement (MWE) groove is allowed. No MWE groove will be allowed that has a width greater than 1/4 inch. All provisions allowing air to the wheel other than via the bore and the MWE groove are prohibited

2018 WORK STOCK GAS RULE UPDATES

  • Any Truck Running for points //or// pulling at two (2) or more events must have a kill switch as per USA-East Rules
  • All Truck are subject to a Cubic Inch Test at any time
  • Trucks competing more than twice will need to have a Cubic Inch seal placed on their motor as per USA-East Specs.
  • Weights are permitted within but not below frame rails and anywhere in the confines of the body with the exception of the cab. No weight inside cab. Weight must not be visible

2018 2.5 DIESEL TRUCK RULE UPDATES

  • WEIGHT – 8,000 Lbs.
  • HITCH HEIGHT – 24”
  • USA-EAST Member Trucks no longer need Registration, License, Inspection if have full safety equipment as specified in the 3.6 Diesel Truck Class.

    • Current Registration and Current Photo Driver’s License
    • Current Inspection Sticker
    • No major modifications to engine or suspension
    • Hole in hitch must be 3 ¾ in diameter
  • Reese Style Hitch – See Diagram for legal hitch
    • Two inches of suspension travel required
    • Radiator must be of factory size and in OEM location and used
  • All cooling must be located in the factory locations; IE Transmissions coolers, Radiators, etc.

8500lb. STREET LICENSED DIESEL 4X4 TRUCKS

  • No front mounted weights – No weights in cab
    • Current Registration and Current Photo Driver’s License
  • Current Inspection Sticker
  • Factory Turbo Charger or approved 2.5 replacement
    • Turbos may be measured and must meet the 2.5 Rules
  • Factory Fuel Pump / Dual pumps allowed
  • No major modifications to engine or suspension
  • Hole in hitch must be 3 ¾ in diameter
  • See Diagram for legal hitch (Factory style Reese is legal as well)
  • Two inches of suspension travel required
  • Radiator must be of factory size and in OEM location and used
  • All cooling for the truck must be located in the factory locations; IE Transmissions coolers, Radiators, etc.
