This is the Saturday night of Memorial Day week-end and utilizes the same date that has been used for the Big Rigs Season opener for the past seventeen years. A rain-date for Sunday is held for this high-    powered event that tends to draw the very best modified semi trucks in the region.

EXPO SPEEDWAY is located at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds in Cortland, Ohio. Recently the speedway has only offered two high powered racing events – both during the annual Trumbull County Fair in mid-July. For many years the speedway was a mainstay on the circle track circuit and played host to some of the top high-level dirt track racing events. The BIG RIGS SERIES season opener is a perfect fit for this venue due to the storied history and the great track surface at the Trumbull County Fair.

The EXPO pull will highlight some new Big Rigs as well as some semis that have been rebuilt over the winter and many of the fan’s old favorites. And for the first time the famed PA POSSE Semi Trucks will join with the Big Rigs to make this one awesome night of pulling for semi truck fans. The POSSE has been resurrected for 2019 as a USA-EAST point class and some new strong trucks are expected in that series.

Fans will also get to see the all-new Open Smoothbore 3.0 Diesel 4×4 Trucks at this event. One of the great aspects of this class is that for the first time in many years all of the major sanctioning bodies have agreed on the same set of rules. This means that trucks that normally run with NTPA can come to EXPO SPEEDWAY on this evening. And Ohio State Diesel Trucks and Empire State Diesel Trucks are also expected to attend the pull that will post a large $600.00 to win class purse.

Tractor fans will have the opportunity to see the Hubner Seed sponsored Classic Super Stock division at this season opening pulling event. Easily the most colorful class on the circuit the CSS tractors have John Deere and Allis-Chalmers and International/Farmall and Ford New Holland and Case all on the track in a highly competitive array of Smokin’ Diesel tractors. A group of fifteen have already joined USA-EAST for 2019 so this will be a showcase for the fans to open the season.

The Big Rigs Pulling Series is the oldest modified semi truck division in the United States and was originated in 1991 by Full Pull Productions. The series is sponsored by Cen.Pe.Co. Lubricants and Fuel additives from the Central Petroleum Company of Wolcott, Iowa and Cleveland, Ohio and by MAC Trailer of Beloit, Ohio and Alliance, Ohio. The series is sanctioned by USA-EAST Sled Pulling a division of Full Pull Productions of Jamestown, Pennsylvania.
